Andrew Mortimer is the Chairman and founder of Superstructure. With a background in law and metallurgy as well as experience in investment markets, Superstructure was the natural progression for Andrew as a resource-based consultant.
Andrew is currently Chairman and Managing Director of Proto Resources & Investments Ltd and Director of Operations of Global Nickel Investments Ltd. Andrew holds a suite of other board seats including a directorship of SA Capital Funds Management Ltd.
Andrew is committed in his work for the above companies to driving earnings from mineral exploration and low cost mineral processing. In particular, he is currently building Proto Resources into a globally significant nickel company off the back of world class exploration and state of the art nickel laterite processing technology.
Andrew holds a BA and LLB from Sydney University and is a Member of the Australian Institute for Mining and Metallurgy.
Lia Darby is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of NSW but now works full-time as a mining company executive, assisting the Superstructure team to push companies up the value curve as they progress in their development.
Within the group, as an executive director Lia with Andrew Mortimer is responsible for strategy and future business development, seeking new opportunities for individual project management and/or acquisition by existing clients.
Lia is an Executive Director of Proto Resources, the Chairman of Global Nickel and also a Director of Condor Blanco Mines.
Lia holds a BA (Hons) and LLB (Hons) from Sydney University.
Angus Middleton is a fund manager and former stockbroker who has extensive experience in the Australian resources sector and in particular in relation to capital raisings for exploration companies.
He is currently a Director of SA Capital Pty Ltd, a corporate advisory firm specialising in equity raisings and underwriting, and the Managing Director of SA Capital Funds Management Limited, an Adelaide based investment fund. SA Capital has been involved in advising and raising equity for corporations in the form of venture capital, seed capital, private equity, pre-initial public offering and initial public offerings since attaining an Australian Financial Services Licence in 2005.
Prior to becoming a fund manager he was a stockbroker for 25 years and a member of the Adelaide Stock Exchange and then the Australian Stock Exchange. Angus is also a non-executive director of ASX listed Rubianna Resources Limited, Magna Mining NL, and Black Ridge Mining NL.
SA Capital is strategically aligned with Superstructure providing wholesale investment funding together with corporate advice for small and midcap companies in conjunction with Superstructure.
Pierre Richard has a background in project management and investment economics, and has worked in corporate law and subsequently in the infrastructure industry, including experience in project development, economic assessment and finance.
Within the group, Pierre holds the position of Chief Development Officer for Proto Resources, where he has responsibility for managing the feasibility assessment and approvals processes for the Barnes Hill nickel-cobalt project in Northern Tasmania.
Pierre is also Chairman of Condor Blanco Mines.
Pierre holds a BCom (Finance) and LLB from the University of New South Wales and a PhD in strategic management from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
Casey Iddon is an Honours graduate specialising in small to mid tier mining company valuations.
As Superstructure's research analyst, Casey is responsible for providing the group with research notes, project summaries and tenement guidance in order to assist with decision making on various assets.
Casey holds a BComm (Applied Economics and Finance) from the University of Ballarat.
David Vinson is a seasoned executive in the Australian renewable energy and new technology industries. David has been instrumental in launching and operating numerous companies in the biofuel, chemical, marketing services and recycling industries, including managing the construction and operations of one of Australia's first biodiesel plants. David graduated from Purdue University, USA, with a degree in Chemical Engineering and has wide experience in the commercialisation, design, construction and operations of chemical and polymer facilities.
David is on the board of Barrier Bay Pty Ltd which is a nickel processing technology company, of which Proto Resources is majority shareholder.
Tom Middleton is Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Group, Andrew Mortimer. Tom provides an invaluable role in assisting Andrew with Superstructure's business.
Tom is currently completing his BComm and LLB at the University of Adelaide.
